About the fee for cancel compensation

Hello, I’ve recently encountered an issue with pet owners canceling bookings. Since I have a premium membership, I’d like to apply for compensation. However, while reading the official documents, I came across a somewhat unreasonable requirement. I want to confirm if my understanding is correct.

The document states:
“The Sitters must contribute $150 towards any payment request made against this Plan.”

Does this mean that for every compensation request, I need to pay a $150 fee upfront?
This fee sounds quite unreasonable. If my application is successful, will this amount be refunded, or is it considered a processing fee?

I’d like to hear from those with experience. Thank you!

@Popo The fee is deducted from the amount you receive.

If your claim isn’t successful there’s no fee.

It sounds akin to an insurance excess.
