Sad day… we were meant to be flying to italy in approx 3 hrs but my son has somehow burst his eardrum and its not advisable to fly so had to cancel the whole thing.
So we are searching for a last min sit, uk only, if anyone knows of any?! we need to vacate our house for the house swap people who are coming tomorrow (we were going to venice then on to our first house swap) as no point in ruining their holiday too. Dont want to pay for accomodation as losing hundreds on the italy fiasco already.
We are packed up and ready to go, but incredibly annoyingly, its not possible to apply for the sits starting today- tried both app and web and neither work!
Why is that? Last min on the day is feasible for plenty of people and i resent the fact that i can see several perfect sits and cant even apply. The owners are probably desperate, like us! Please THS, fix it!
Sorry to hear of your predicament - it must be so stressful.
If today’s date is showing on a live listing it is more than likely they have made alternative arrangements by now and not taken the listing down.
Where are you based, how many of you are there and how long do you need to be away? Of course there are the number and type of pets to consider.
Hopefully someone on here can come to the rescue.

Thanks @Twitcher i am feeling quite stressed yeah. We could go and stay with my mother but thats the opposite of a relaxing holiday so not keen.
Yeah it didnt occur to me that maybe the listings with todays dates have maybe already found people. There are actually loads of sits, like 200, but complicating factor is we need to be at a family gathering on the 5th latest, could possibly leave 6th again. But its such an awkward date to not be availiable.
And theres 4 of us, 2 adults 2 kids. Can look after any animal but not big loud barky jumpy dogs.
I don’t see any sits listed that start today but lots in U.K. starting tomorrow.
