App vs webpage

So i have just downloaded the app, been using it for a week now. Its great when it works, but I have noticed the saved sit updates don’t always work, or say there’san update but theres no new listings. quite often i have to shut it down and re load in order to get anythingto update, eg in my inbox it will say i sent a message a few minutes ago when its been hours etc. I’mjust wondering if anyone elsehas similar problems?

its definately better than checking the website obsessively for new sits, but the whole point was to be notified of my saved searches and if that feature isn’t working then there doesnt seem much point.

Im curious as to what folks find more user friendly, Web or app?

This has been discussed a lot before on the forum. I always use the website as have found the app pretty useless in comparison

Same… I think it’s just how it’s technically implemented. Might actually also lean toward the web version, since neither options shows the actual locations anyway  New listings often don’t appear in notifications because users ‘boost’ and refresh existing listings, making them appear as ‘new’…it’s the recommended approach in here as well when listings aren’t getting traction and interest. So watch how many you ‘save,’ speaking from experience

They have implemented new push messages reminding you to send updates during the housesit (..which I already do over WhatsApp), so I’m definitely giving the app a rest and uninstalling again :joy:

Oh thats interesting about the reminders during a sit, I always use WhatsApp or an offsite messaging system so definately don’t need that.

I’ll probably uninstall it soon!

I noticed that there is no option in the app to choose a car for sitters. There used to be an option under “ near by transportation “ has anyone else noticed that?
