Business card/flyer template

Does anyone have a template they used to advertise THS and themselves as hosts/sitters you could send my way? Every sit I think man, I should have printed that up and then always forget.

@Emmeelue84

After scribbling info on many pieces of paper on dog walks to passing strangers then we got business cards last year. Image and url to THS logo artwork in weblink below.

We are not aware of any template. And such a request may be complicated due to varying dimensions of business cards.

In case useful, we chose to use the mini business cards from moo.com. The small size (perhaps half size standard business) has worked well for our travel lifestyle.

We’ve given out many cards. To be honest, we have not observed some form of flurry of THS referrals. We did ponder adding QR code to design and re-printing cards, but deferred that until use up current batch of cards.

Happy referral hunting

Back in the day, THS used to send out a stack of personalised business cards to sitters! Imagine!

Yes I remember those days when members were appreciated.
I received a box of personalised referral cards, a tote bag and a mug during the early years.

You’ll see I’ve added a link, which includes other links, when this was discussed several years ago. I do wish people would search the forum before posting a question……hey ho!

Same here @Twitcher. Oh for the good old days!!

@Twitcher, we’re newbies relative to your veteran involvement.
Other than historic cards/bag/mug in early days (when?) then has THS ever offered any form of rewards other than for customer referrals/acquisitions?

For example, @cat.tails recently posted that they had reached 100 reviews. Seems a huge milestone. Heck suspect even 50 reviews is more than vast majority of THS members.

Would seem courteous if major member milestones were somehow recognized by THS. Say a free period of membership, business cards or some form of merchandise.

The vast majority supported THS by continuing to pay their membership throughout the Covid years when we couldn’t travel. Our reward was booking fees.

I used a free QR code generator to create a QR code from my THS profile’s URL. Anyone wanting to know more can scan the QR code using their phone and go straight to my profile. Once while I was hiking with a dog I was looking after I got chatting to someone and they couldn’t open the link because there was no mobile data coverage. I just my profile URL later by email.

It would be more courteous if THS were to implement some of the improvements to the website/app we’ve been asking for for years, instead of bringing in things of no use….A lot of members have been more lax at recommending THS since the booking fees were introduced
