I’m hoping you can help me. I tried contacting the platform’s help team, but sadly, Frankie couldn’t help, and apparently, there are no humans available.
I have a sit coming up next Wednesday. On Friday, I sent a request for the welcome guide, but I haven’t received anything. Yesterday (Monday) I sent another message asking to get in touch, because I need to start organising the logistics. Still nothing.
I’m starting to feel very unsettled, and I’m wondering what else I can do to contact the host. I don’t have their phone number; we only did a video call on Zoom.
That’s very unsettling. As a sitter, once a host confirms a sit, I ask for their personal telephone number and/or email address. One never knows if communication can go sideways on the site. Hopefully, the host will reach out to you soon but moving forward, I suggest you get their personal contact information after the confirmation. Best of luck!
Hi @MyrCar as promised, I have just heard back from the Membership Services team and a team member will be in touch shortly, so please do keep a look out for an email from them.
Have your messages been read @MyrCar? If so, I’d be concerned. My next message would likely be “It seems you’re no long interested in me sitting for you where I have had no response to my messages. If this isn’t correct, then please respond. Otherwise I will cancel the sit from my end.”
In future, use WhatsApp for your video chats so you have a mobile number contact for owner. I never agree to Zoom/Teams etc.

I understand why you said this but want to mention that I’m open to these if the link to participate is sent to my email or WhatsApp, which allows for another form of contact.
Thank you for your tips. The message hasn’t been read yet, which is not as bad as if it had been read and no replied. It´s actually one of the first times I don´t have the host´s whatsApp number!
