I always worry about this, as my Walter loves the upstairs neighbours who look after him if I’m away!
That said, last time I was away for the night, I saw him on cat-cam, curling up in his same spot on my bed even though I wasn’t there - it did make me miss him!
When we looked after my brother’s cat he used to sleep on my sister in law’s fleecy dressing gown which she left on their bed
