Feature Request: 'I've read T&C's' checkbox

Splendid. OK, given that then how about a few tickboxes for the Pet Parent to confirm compliance with THS Terms of Service. Perhaps with simpler language. There have been a steady trickle of related threads on THS Forum. It is our suspicion that some pet parents (and housesitters) simply do not know THS terms of service - heck, we only learned about Sit Cancellation Insurance when we faced a cancellation.

5.2.10. ensure that you have adequate home insurance and that this insurance also covers you for the occupancy of a Sitter in your home (you may need to check this with your insurance provider);

5.2.11. not have any inherently dangerous pets (such as venomous snakes or constrictors, primates, wolves or wolf hybrids, non-domesticated cats, alligators), banned dog breeds, or any animal with a history of attacks on pets or people;

5.2.13. ensure your home is vacated for a Sitter throughout the duration of the Sit, and that no third parties will interfere with the Sitter’s enjoyment of your property;

Note: The OP was originally posted in this discussion. It has been moved to create it’s own subject.

I do support this but it’s unlikely most people won’t read them. I’ve lost count of the number of times I have ticked a website’s ā€œagree to the T&Csā€ box and never read the very long list of very small fine print.

@Crookie, completely agree.

Idea was for not for singular ā€˜agree to T&C’ tickbox. Rather for series of tickboxes, one for each key term that commonly causes issues. Ideally in brief, simple - not legalistic - language to encourage read before click.

Above OP suggests three - insurance coverage, dangerous pets, third parties - but there may be incremental/difference topics. For example, @Crosswords_and_puzzles recent in regards indoor cameras - or compliance with Cameras & Recording Devices policy.

Should you know of other THS Terms of Service items that are problematic then feel free to suggest.
