BBC.com Lufthansa cuts 20,000 summer flights as fuel prices surge
Disgusting. All because someone wants to play war games ![]()
Australia has always imported diesel as it only has two refineries so not much change there….
But it’s not getting to us is the problem
Whaaaat do you mean!? Vietnam is amazing!! The people and culture are like nothing I’ve ever experienced anywhere in Asia.
Currently on a sit in Singapore (my 4th visit here in a year) and wouldn’t hesitate to sit in Asia. Flights around Asia are so affordable and transport options a plenty of staying on mainland.
My daughter is moving to Australia for a year so I’d say go for it! Just have money and travel insurance incase anything happens.
Shoot me any questions if you have anything particular in mind?
@Red07 what do YOU mean I’m sorry??? I commented that here in Australia we are having trouble getting diesel fuel, I said nothing about Vietnam. I’m actually spending a few months in Vietnam again on my return from Europe, I make many trips to SE Asia often. Totally understand and agree about the Vietnamese people and the culture, amazing country.
Thank you, I’ve since backburnered Asia until later this year!
@ASASG I think routes will have a lot of bearing on, well, everything! I’ve recently returned to the US and the people I’m sitting for are in Asia, flew from the east coast of the US to Asia, and everything was and continues to be fine with that route. It’ll depend on the airlines as well, budget Norse cancelled all of its London to LAX flights this summer but they’re still flying to NYC. Lufthansa’s cancellations are all short-haul flights. It’s all kinds of different! Flying within Europe and between the UK and mainland Europe sounds like it’s going to be tricky, but long haul flights seem to still be happening, depending on your destination and starting point.
