I joined to have reliable, trustworthy people come to our home and care for our most valuable possessions which are our “girls”. I have read and read on rules and categories etc but I’m not finding actual directions on how to start requesting a sitter.
Any help would be appreciated here.

This is the forum rather than the membership site so you need to head to TrustedHousesitters.com - choose your plan, sign up, create a listing with location, great pics of your home and girls and responsibilities for taking care of them and then post your dates. Sitters will then apply. If you use the spyglass at the top of here there are lots of threads with tips and two blogs from @Nagy26 and @Fatamorgana that will help you. #andoffyougo

To get started with THS, you’ll need to sign up and then create a listing with your published dates. Once your listing is published, sitters who are interested in your sit can apply. You can have up to 5 applicants at a time. Be sure to respond promptly to each applicant, and schedule a video call with them if you’re interested in their application. Once you’ve reached mutual agreement with a sitter, you can confirm them on the site by sending an invite and they can accept.
You can also search for sitters and send invites if you have no applicants, but this usually has a low success rate. Having an attractive and engaging listing that gains applicants is the way to go! Here’s some listing guides that may help when writing your listing
