I’ve got a year done of pet sitting and I think I’ve done 12 sits now. I was thinking of making a small photo book (could be a yearly thing!) with the pics I’ve taken, and some info from the sit. Has anyone done this? I have everything hand written down in a notebook but think it would be kind of nice to have a photo book with pics of the place we stayed at and the pets we watched.
Thinking of just using Walmart or some online site to make it. Thoughts?
Not a physical book, because we can’t have ‘stuff’ anymore with living the way we do, but we create a compilation video of each sit, which will eventually end up as a much larger video-album.
Originally it started by doing it for owners and as a way to save our own memories too, but then I realised it was far better to do it just for us, because we have many more memories beyond the pets we sit, linked to the places too.
I do photo books if my travel. I used to use Photoshop but recently started using an app called Canva. Considering I used to make in Photoshop on a 22" screen it has stunned me how easy it is to use Canva on a phone. This next trip I am planning to make my book as I go, just loading to the app each day, takes only a few minutes. No, I make no money on it, it’s just changed how I do it. Once each page is made you download it as a JPEG and then you can print via numerous places. Walmart may have an equally easy platform but I have no experience of that. I figure I will appreciate flicking through a book when I am old

You can use photo box, moo.com or vista print who all have photo book options depending on where you are in the world if you’re going to have them printed. Canva also good (free) and Canva AI scarily good (on Canva pro for £6 per month) at being creative. #photobooks
I made a photobook of my first five years with just the pets. This year I had planned to do the next five years but it hasn’t happened yet! I use PhotobookShop, an Australian owned and operated company but they do ship internationally.
