Hi alphillips92!
As a sitter, I totally get how nerve-wracking it can be to invite someone new into your home and trust them with your pets.
I never apply for a sit with the intention of convincing the host that I am their best option. Instead, I prefer communications that allow the host and me to determine if we are a well aligned, good match. Although most of the time, if I decide to apply, it is because their listing felt familiar and resonated in a way that suggested we are well suited.
I have only had wonderful experiences with amazing hosts and pets, and I hope your experience is equally gratifying.
