Has any one ever been treated with hostility, disrespect and threatening behaviour by their Pet owner? If so, what course of action have you taken and any advice would be much appreciated.

50+ sits and fortunately I haven’t experienced this -
If I did I would be making plans to leave asap and informing THS via the 24/7 phone line . You can call them and speak to a human ( not chatbot ) .
Is this just a possible scenario or a current issue?
If you’re in IMMEDIATE danger then it’s the police you should be calling in the first instance, not THS member services. Contacting THS would come afterwards.

I agree with other members who have mentioned that if you’re in immediate danger, you should prioritise contacting the local authorities.

The context is important for this.
Was this in person or via distant communication?
Was this during the sit or during any overlapping time together? Was this when the HOs returned home?
Hostility: respond with being assertive and communicate clear boundaries DO NOT be hostile in retaliation. Document all interactions as evidence.
Disrespect: this is a grey area due to differences in cultural or demographics
Threatening behaviour: this is VERY SERIOUS your priority is safety. Take all threats seriously and act accordingly. Make a plan to reduce any risk to your well being also document ALL communications.
