I have been reading about this new feature for days now. I have tried on my app but cannot access any of the searches that other people have described Is it available to everyone on the app? ---

Perhaps you need to manually update the THS app and then try again. ---

Thanks, I now have access and tried it out. I think it has merits, especially searching for Europe without UK ---

@Itchyfeet did it work for you. I used their example button and the first 6 results were UK. ---

Does anyone e know what the big NOT RELEVANT means on the search results? I thought it might be sits for times we are already booked but it’s not. The sits meet my search criteria and we’re free on the dates. There appears to be nothing else in the listings that would exclude us from applying. So I’m totally perplexed. ---

I’ve not seen an explanation from THS . So this is just a guess - I think that this can be used for feedback - tap “not relevant “ for each listing that doesn’t match the search criteria. For example a search for sits in Europe excluding U.K. - that shows listings in U.K. tap on each U.K. listing because that is not relevant . ---

I’ve not found any supporting evidence for 90% of members being female. “While exact statistics are unavailable, insights from the community and the platform provide a clear picture:The Sitter Split: Active sitters on the platform are estimated to be roughly 80% women (including solo female sitters and female members of sitting couples).” \*TrustedHousesitters does not publicly release an official demographic breakdown of men and women across their membership base". If @co_ri_na has any verifiable evidence of the 90% claim please share it. ---

I’ve not come across any gender split statistics published by THS . But what we don’t know is how many mixed couples there are. I originally posted the clip from The Times, but forgot about it. Instinctively 90% females seems too high, but there may be supporting evidence. I’d be interested in knowing the percentage of HOs with dogs only, cats only and dogs as well as cats. ---

😂 Sorry for the confusion I didn’t realise people on here would take the 90% literally and make a big deal out of it My post was actually just a bit of light hearted banter about there being a male in the pic on a predominately used by women platform Unfortunately I can’t delete it but I’ve changed the original post to ‘the majority of’ Hopefully that clears things up, my apologies for expecting a sense of humour My bad 🤷🏻‍♀️ ---
