Issues with Reimbursement

So I’m getting the run around from insurance. Long story short, sitter canceled and I had to find a month of care with zero help from them. I’m trying to get my money back from having to get a Rover sitter and then a friend I paid.

The issue is they’re being so weird about getting payment and invoice details from my friend. Obviously Rover is easy to verify. But they won’t accept any screenshot of venmo payment I’ve sent to my friend and refuse to answer as to what specifically I need to provide. Does anyone know what would be best and/or know how I can get an official receipt from venmo with her info on it. All THS tells me is they need to see the payment “with her details on it.” I’ve tried to clarify what this means several times.

I’ve used this service once and it’s been such a nightmare. If Venmo is not acceptable…they should be more specific when you need to arrange alternative care. What a joke of a service this platform is.

The terms of the Cancellation Plan state that

“4. Pet Parents must provide receipts detailing dates, daily costs of boarding and expenses they have paid.

5. If requested by Us, the person caring for the pets must be able to produce written confirmation of the daily amount they have been paid.”

Ask your friend to produce a receipt which states her contact details , the dates of the sit , the daily charge and total charge and the method of payment.

She can do this on chatgbt or similar AI site if it’s not something she is familiar with . It will take a few minutes at most and then you can e-Mail that document to THS member services .

Do what @Silversitters said. What you’ve given them is not proof, and that’s all they are after.

The transaction that you’ve gave them could have been for anything, any service, anyone, it could have even been money you sent a family member. So they just need something more solid, so follow what @Silversitters said.

They want receipts. Get your friend to buy a small invoice book and use some of the middle pages so it doesn’t start from 001. Or just use a word doc invoice. Bill you for the sitting, x days/nights at whatever per day/night etc. Doris’s Petsitting Services.

They’re entitled to operate a self-employed business without much more than that.

I believe they want very official old fashioned looking receipts and invoices, which ChatGPT can easily create for you.

Just use a free online invoice generator and list the Venmo transaction ID as the payment reference
