I recently renewed my Premium membership with the thought that the lounge passes would be worth the extra but now looking at just about any lounge in the US and beginning to wonder if it’s even worth it for those based in the US. Has anyone in the States been to a lounge via THS lounge pass that has been good?

Yes, it’s the same for our local airport in the UK and the one we usually fly into in Spain. The upgrade/premium definitely isn’t worth it for the lounge passes.

I’m not sure why THS seem to think it’s an incentive. The last minute cancellation is okay on the insurance, but the likelihood of ever needing it is very very slim. The one and only thing that made our upgrade worth it, was because we had already referred a lot of people to THS, so all of our future years at premium are free of charge anyway, so then all of those airport lounges will add up over the years.

My main airport is Chicago O’Hare and there is not a lounge on the list there. I use my lounge passes if I have a long layover. I’ve used them twice at Heathrow and twice in Dublin.

For US domestic flights you can use The Club SFO,The Club LAS and the Club MCO that I know of. I’ve used it at the SFO one and the food/drinks were really nice, but it was super crowded.

Yep. We’ve had premium membership for the cancelation insurance but the lounge passes sounded good…have not been able to use it once in 4 years bc the airports we tend to have layovers in (in the US) don’t have a participating lounge. We have flown internationally every year for the past 4 years - all with US connections and never got to use it.

Not worth it.

We have 2 passes a year with Chase Bank and have used those, however.

The Club properties look to be pretty rubbish and have terrible reviews! Not sure how many airports in the US use those but two major airports I was looking at flying out of do and I just won’t book either.

I used one lounge pass in London this spring and it was just okay, food was subpar but the drinks made up for it, or I made sure the drinks made up for it, anyway!

For those not using their lounge passes, you do have the option to give them away

@carpediem16

Just give membership services the details of who you want to give them to, ( name, date, airport, flight number etc) then forward the passes to whoever you want to give them to, when you get them

The whole point of going premium is for a couple of passes, the chances of one having to use the cancellation coverage is a step above never. In the two or three years I’ve had premium I’ve never made use of the cancellation coverage. It’s mainly the lounges in the USA that are pretty rubbish, but unfortunately a major market for THS **is** the USA.

There are several benefits to Premium, some do it for reasons completely unrelated to lounge passes. I often see posts about members giving away unused lounge passes.

</div>

Oh my gracious, **okay**! I’m just saying that two lounge passes that value at 40 quid minimum should actually be worth the 40 quid, more in the USA!! Few to no people actually need to make use of the other “benefits” of Premium, not sure how long you’ve been using the platform but I’d say that percentage is about .0005% of users. The End.

We often end up not using our passes, so give them away rather than letting them go to waste

We’ve had Premium but didn’t do it for the lounge passes and we don’t always use them.

I don’t care about the lounge passes and have given them away in the past. There is no lounge on the list for my main airport (Chicago O’Hare). I have used them a few times for layovers but the lounges really weren’t that great.

I have premium for the cancellation plan (which I have used) and now it has the benefit of no booking fees.

Given the most recent posts on this thread, you just might want to fire up that calculator again.
