We absolutely LOVE seeing photos of our lovely Forum members meeting up out there in the world.
Our current meet up gallery has been running for four years, with hundreds of smiles, locations and friendships shared.
As the thread has become really long, I thought that it might be time to set up a fresh one, where you can share your photos and tales of meeting other Forum members.
The current gallery will not be going anywhere, it will simply be locked to new replies, I’ll pin this post to the top of the category, and I’ll add a link on the old gallery to this post so that people know where to go.
Before you post:
Get consent from anyone in the photo
Blur out anything identifying e.g. addresses, number plates
Connection is right at the heart of what we do, and I can’t wait to see more of your meet-ups.
I met the lovely Sarah travelling for the summer on various sits from Illinois. We met in Haworth where I sit quite often and she was able to come on the Steam train to meet me. We had a really good day.
Shout out to @august - we recently met in Stockholm for a lovely chat. It was truly inspiring to hear of adventures and perspective of a fellow international traveller. No photo was taken. Thanks @august - really appreciated your time, wisdom & stories.
Two house sitters (Crookie and Temba) unsupervised in the wild at Scarborough Marina on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula, Queensland. We love housesitting because pets never judge you for wearing matching stripes!
This is me with Marie. My partner Gerard and I gave her that name. She’s a bold little lady - small, smart and always finding a way to get to the food, regardless of the bigger birds standing in her way: roosters, ducks and hens. There are about 30 to 40 of them, and each has their own character.
When we arrive at noon with some extra fancy food - they all love cooked rice - Marie jumps on us and heads straight for the bowl.
Of course, we could get annoyed and try to teach her some boundaries - nope, this is just keeping up appearances for this platform - but we simply can’t help ourselves. We love her and spoil her. Hopefully, our host will forgive us when she comes home!
I don’t remember if I’ve already posted this photo, but please forgive me if I have. I can be a little overenthusiastic sometimes. I know.
