I’m looking to see what sort of membership renewal incentives you all have been offered.
The 20% seems standard but I’m wondering if anyone has been offered anything more.

I have emailed customer support regarding incentives for renewals but they have not replied. Initially I turned off auto-renewal and a pop-up offered 20% discount but this option has now gone. Jenny has suggested there may be some Black Friday deals but not till end of year.
@Sarah22 when I contacted support for the same thing, I was told that offering any further discounts was out of their control, it is all done automatically outside of member support. They don’t even know how, when or why the additional discounts are offered and to whom. All they could offer was the standard 20% and an apology, understandable given it’s not their role.
@ziggy Thanks for the info. Would have been nice if I’d had a reply though from support ![]()
That’s surprising Sarah as I never wait more than a day for a response from Support. Very strange
When I inquired about a year ago I was told there were none.
I was able to get myself several referral extensions, though.
The best incentives are coming if you cancel your renewal - actually let it lapse and then after a week or so you get offered Premium for the price of basic .
This has been reported by a sitter on the forum - I don’t know if hosts are getting the same offer .
My referral renewal extensions have now taken me to July 2029 so I’ve stopped worrying about it. A lot can change in 3 years.
Has it. Heh, can’t say I’m surprised to read that they closed that loophole ![]()
Eliminating booking fees would probably incentivize quite a few members to renew
oh wait
@Sarah22, perhaps I misrecall but think Black Friday 2025 THS promo related to new members in the form of elevated referral incentive (typical 2 months, BF 3 months).
As @Silversitters rightly noted, some THS members secure a higher renewal discount after termination … but this only works if the member has no future confirmed sits.
Guess sometimes glass is half-full and seeming 20% discount seems better than no discount.
Hi @Gotyourback. Thanks for replying. The 20% discount popped up when I switched off auto-renewal. I’v tried switching back on to get discount but no pop up. Contacted support about this 3 weeks ago but no reply. I’m quite happy to wait till November when renewal date passed and wait for offer (currently on standard) or leave and stick to repeats. Tried to book a sit after renewal but THS wont let me unless I turn on renewal. Not doing that. Was interested in others experience. Won’t pay booking fees ![]()
I’ve turned auto renewal off. Got the 20% offer. Nah. I run out next month. No future sits booked. Hoping for premium at the price of basic. Will report back in June, hopefully if I have something to report ![]()

If someone cancels their membership and then reapplies if offered an incentive, do they lose all their previous pet sitter reviews (I’m a sitter and pet owner)?
I’d like to know do I lose all my carefully curated favourites and saved searches when I am in that cancelled space waiting for a good deal. I hope not but we will see.
Just reporting back, membership ran out a few days ago. I got the offer premium for basic. No indication how long that offer would last. When the second email arrived along with a survey of why I was leaving I figured I should grab the opportunity so I re joined.
Happy to see all reviews and favourites still there. Interestingly I was getting alerts for my favourites while out of membership but could not access the listings. So one more year for me and then I will see. Hopefully I can get something that suits ![]()
