I have had several potential sitters tell me my messages don’t show up right away. Has anyone else had this problem?
Yes this is a known issue . Also I’ve noticed that the message might be is in the web version but doesn’t appear in the App for a long time afterwards . Sometimes messages received disappear completely . Often there is no notification that you have received a message .
That’s why many members switch to WhatsApp / text for prompt communication.
As soon as I’ve made contact through the app I suggest switching to WhatsApp and every host has agreed to this.
Just to chip in agreeing with the the others - switch to Whatsapp or your preferred messaging app after first contact.
Despite all the extra income, THS can’t seem to fix this long-standing and basic issue.
..and remember saving your data if switching WhatsApp between phones, otherwise your messages will indeed disappear ![]()

Yes it’s always been like that, 3-4 hours in some cases. We whatsapp while owners are away, and only use the THS system if it’s something non-urgent but we definitely wouldn’t use it at all during a sit.

We’ve not experienced this. But our usage of THS Message platform is limited - just applications and early comms. Once sit is confirmed then we migrate to WhatsApp Group with Pet Parent(s) and Housesitters members. Seems to work well.
