@eamesreb33, sorry to hear of challenges.

We suspect that each of the THS insurance benefits may provide cheap, limited coverage but sound rather smashing in marketing materials.

The THS Third Party Liability Plan arguably has a misleading name. Unlike typical third party insurance, THS policy does not appear to cover any damage caused by a person (e.g. housesitter). Rather only to damage caused by a pet; provided that THS member is premium housesitter and not combo member.

The THS Sit Cancellation Insurance is indeed valid but has material quirks that may invalidate many claims; other terms (e.g. alternative accommodation location) that may motivate housesitter not to claim; and coverage amount eroded by inflation. Topic raised multiple times by multiple people on THS Forum. As policyholder, THS could presumably improve this coverage.

> Thank you for a voice of reason. Yes, I am also in touch with THS on this. They are trying to push me to claim it with my insurance, only to get a rejection, and then they would replace my couch, through their insurance, for which I will still have to pay $250 deductible. As you, I assumed the sitter would have liability insurance and that she would feel responsible and accountable outside the strict platform regulations and avoid for me to end up with a negative insurance record (for nothing)…
