More issues w/review content missing

This was mentioned in another thread but can’t seem to find it now. That said, I think it deserves its own report so it doesn’t get overlooked.

In addition to reviews sometimes crashing & getting lost when being submitted, I’m seeing more & more listings where recently-created reviews are missing their subcategory star-ratings:

Yes, I have noticed it twice and mentioned it in the ‘Easier to compare, Clearer to choose’ thread. Both times that I noticed it, the sits had ended August 9 and 10 respectively and were less than a week in length. And note that both the start and end dates are present rather then just the number of days. I had a sit that ended August 2 and published a review the next day that appeared ‘normal’. Maybe that info could help the IT narrow down the onset of this new quirk if the mods choose to pass this info over to them.

Agree. I think there was tons of useful info shared on the Easy to compare thread. They don’t need to agree with all the “wishes or complaints” but that thread is basically free UX quality control at this point.

Not sure if they didn’t listen or the situation is much worse then we think.

If I would need to gueass, I would say the second. As with the latest “fix” they have broken additional profiles and we have all this new reviews without subcategories mess added to the mix.

But I also think there is not much listening or communication happening with this company. At this point every single user would deserve an emails, explaining this mess. Even with all the (insert expletive of your choice) excuses and fluff languages…

Why the (insert expletive of your choice) would you deploy these updates/changes/fixes to prod?

Hi @MerryPuppins

Thanks for sharing this. :handshake:

I’ve had a chat with our product team, they’re working on this now. A fix has been deployed to show sub-categories on new reviews and they’re now looking at restoring the sub-categories where they may be missing on existing reviews

Also tagging @Lassie who mentioned this elsewhere. :+1:

Thanks, @Mark_B ; I appreciate what you & the mod team are doing to pass our feedback & test results to the dev folks.

Would it be best to wait a few days for a fix before re-writing my review for my most recent hosts? (They are really lovely people & new to THS, so I want to make sure they get all the credit they deserve for their efforts, & the best experience possible with the platform.)

Hey - no worries!

There’s no need to wait. Assuming your app is up to date, the sub-categories will appear as normal for any reviews which are now left.

A bit of a sidebar, but: this is so kind of you!

Top Tip: deleting and reinstalling the app is often the quickest and easiest way to make sure you have the latest update.

Thanks again for highlighting this - the issue has been fixed. :white_check_mark:
