I usually write my application message and after proofreading, select the date and hit the apply button. I just did that and it sent the application but deleted my entire message. Is this a system glitch?
Don’t know but I always hit the application button before writing an application
I always tell myself I’m going to write my message in another application (that won’t crash or suddenly close) and then copy and paste it. I often forget, but it’s good practice.
I believe I’ve read on here that, as long as you’ve ticked the apply now and dates, you can continue to write your application at your own time, as long as you don’t navigate away from the page. Therefore, I think it’s an important step to tick the dates right away, in order to ‘make your application live’ and be granted time to write it and still make it inside the 5 (albeit you may be the 6th or 7th, it should still go through). Operative word is ‘should’. I’ve seen a few posts lately where this doesn’t happen, so maybe there’s a glitch.
As others have said, it is important to click the dates first - by doing that you have secured the fact that your application will be sent. ( be sure not to navigate away from the page as you are writing - I always open a separate page showing the listing for me to refer to)
In your case, the five maximum was probably reached as you were writing your application so when you eventually clicked the date button, unfortunately, you were too late
Thank you, I used to do it the other way so that I didn’t accidentally hit the send button before my writeup was done but going forward, I’ll just hit the date first.
