Hi, first time poster.
I posted a sit over 2 weeks ago but have had absolutely no interest. I thought this was strange because for the last 3 sits I’ve had plenty of applications. Sit 2 was for the same time of year in 2025, and sit 3 in 2026 I had interest but had to change the dates to the current ones.
Any advice welcome!
p.s think I have added the sit link to the profile but please advise if I’ve done it wrong.

I’m sure our wonderful community of members will be along shortly to share their knowledge and experience to offer you some great advice. 
Your listing looks great, personally I’d tweak your title, as the first 6 words or so are the most important, as the rest is sometimes cut off, until sitters click to read more.
So instead of:
“Rural Scotland in Fall/Autumn - great base to explore Scotland”
I’d put something like:
“Beautiful River Tay, Dolphins, Seals, and Pretty Scenic Views”
Because a sitter already knows you’re in Scotland, and when your dates are, so those words a little wasted when you’ve such an amazing place, in a beautiful area.
Also I wouldn’t put rural in the title, because some translate rural as being totally isolated, which you aren’t.

Strange to hear that your listing attracted no applicants. Indeed rather surprised.
Your listing looks appealing. Presentable photos & property. Offered potential use of car. Noted nearby communities. Seems fair pet responsibilities. Reasonable duration. All seems good - odd.
We’ve completed several housesits in Scotland. Most recently in Perth, not that far from you. Nice part of the world. Alas we’re now in another continent.
Perhaps consider remove listing dates and then re-add dates. While this technique can be overdone, sometimes far overdone to negative effect, then moderate use may help your listing to appear ‘new’ again in housesitter searches/notifications.
Hopefully you find a great housesitter. Hopefully not needed but there is a ‘last minute sits’ area of THS Forum (think within 14 days of start).

That’s a good point, “rural” is relative isn’t it. I won’t over promise with dolphins though haha thanks for the advice.

I’m sorry you’re not getting applications, your sit sounds lovely.
I see that you have changed the title now. I would start with “great base to explore Scotland/Fife” because not everyone knows the river.
First time posting also. We have had 5 or 6 sitters over the past two years and usually get multiple applications within a day or so. We have a comfortable home with a private access beach in Malibu and two older small dogs that do not require much attention. We posted 10 days ago, and not a single application. Anyone else have something like this happen?
That’s disappointing for you @90265. You can add your listing to your forum profile by following this link. Members can then offer suggestions on it.
The US is not a popular choice for international sitters at present so your pool is likely to be ones from the US.
You can also remove your dates briefly then re-post them to make your listing New again.
