We have an extraordinary home in Santa Fe and a very easy dog to care for. I have never had a problem getting multiple applications within a few days of listing our place and pet. Now, after a week. Absolutely nothing. I have had the website “boost” the listing and I have reached out to a dozen sitters. Nothing.
I’m beginning to think that there too many house/pet listings and not enough sitters. Would welcome responses. I’m really puzzled.
Without a link in your profile to your listing, it is hard to usefully comment. You don’t even mention when you’re looking for a sitter.

If you are in the USA the number of sitters travelling there to sit is limited mainly due to border issues. The pool of sitters available will be smaller and a lot of people are booked way ahead. So you may need an alternative plan for a paid sitter if you need someone soon
The US government shutdown is likely also making people wary of any unnecessary domestic flights. It’s just not a great time to host US sits. People outside the US have been reluctant to apply for months, and now people inside the US have cause to reconsider flying. All of this is for very good reason, unfortunately.
