Shaking my head.
I had to look it up too.
Shaking my head.
I had to look it up too.
Iāll comment only on the elevation part: they live at 9000 feet altitude.
I personally find the rest of the phrase controversial. IMO, sheāll be alienating some sitters with that too.
Just to pick up on this statement, I can only assume you mean all utility bills at your home will be met for the duration of your absence? Thatās just a given, when a HO decides to leave their pet(s) at home and being cared for by a sitter. Sitters donāt just provide care for pets, they also provide security for the property.
We are on a sit right now and, during some recent wild weather, experienced a leak in the roof space, with water dripping down through the lights, causing a crack in the ceiling and dripping onto the bed. Our swift action in removing the mattress, positioning pans and buckets to catch the drips, and immediately alerting the HO, saved the situation from becoming a potential catastrophe.
No fees are applicable for the help you receive from THS sitters, since - as has already been mentioned several times in this thread - itās a mutually beneficial agreement, based on trust. If you want to show your appreciation however, thereās lots of ways you can do so (and lots of other threads on here which describe whatās most appreciated). Weāve been very fortunate in meeting some interesting, friendly, generous and appreciative pet parents during our 43 sits, and have the same amount of 5 star reviews to demonstrate that what goes around, comes around. As with all things in life, you will get out what you put in.
Just one thing to add: we very rarely leave our sit dogs for more time than it takes to go and get some food shopping. Thatās not because itās stipulated by pet parents but because we like to keep them with us. You can find out during a video chat what sitters usually do, on that score.
Best of luck with it.
You probably cannot locate the listing anymore as it may now have received 5 applicants and is reviewing.
So we will all have wasted our time reading and responding.
I do hope that the OP takes on board everyoneās advice
Another OP MIAā¦
I reported this listing and Jenny passed it on to the team so they hopefully removed it until the owner includes photos of the house.
I donāt understand how first-timers can post listings without pics of the home, isnāt 5 internal pics a listing requirement? I know the general response is that listings may have been revised after going live, but would HOs new to the site genuinely realise this as a loophole?
@Happypets youāre correct but we know all new listings really donāt get manually checked. Like anything, it may be a requirement but thatās not to say it is always followed.
@sdsmith4u
Is it not possible to delay your trips until the puppy stage is over?
That way, you can give your dog the 100% commitment you require, and more importantly, train it in the way you want it to be trained in these early important months.
Looks like @sdsmith4u has gone so maybe we should tooā¦
I thought it was āsmacking my headā. Somehow this post is more of a āsmackā to me than a āshakeā !
Oh dearā¦Couldnāt find the post but this phrase would immediately send me to the next potential sitā¦
