Our THS pet-friendly virtual cafe!

Hello @shahzad

Welcome to the forum community and the virtual cafe :coffee:

I used to live on a farm where we could pick fresh apples from the tree as well, so thank you for bringing back those memories :green_apple:

Are you a pet sitter or pet owner? If you need any help around the forum just let us know, the community is a very friendly and knowledgeable bunch!

Hello!

We’d really love our members to use this thread for general chit chat, as well as giving new members a safe place to get chatting, so I’m reviving the discussion!

How was everyone’s weekend?

I had a very quiet one, I spent most of it doing some deep cleaning around the house, and I’m very pleased with the results.

Feel free to check in about your weekend here, whether it was pet sitting, or sight seeing, or just a quiet one!

Jenny

Welcome @TashaN
Am I right in assuming that you are a sitter ?
NYC sits are very popular. You may want to try doing some local short sits to get some reviews .
Having some reviews will help you when you apply for the popular sits like NYC.

U.K. has lots of sits so you are in a great location to get started with some last minute sits and get some reviews under your belt . You will see sits listed just for 1 night or 2 over a weekend . Try starting with those .

All the best for your travel plans .

Good advice from @Silversitters . See if you can do a few local, shorter sits. This will help you to get experience and reviews. Homeowners (HO) look for that selecting a sitter, so it will help you get the more sought after sits. Local homeowners/ sits mean that you can offer to come over for a chat and Meeting the pet before they make up their Minds for a sitter, which is a great advantage for a sitter with no sit-reviews.

Best of luck!

Hi, I’m Linda, just joined based on a friend’s recommendation. I love to travel but haven’t since I got my dog Bud a year ago, and I’m looking for someone to sit him next month while I’m away at a figure skating camp in Palm Springs.

Welcome @Linda
Where are you located ?
Have you made a listing so that sitters can start applying ?

Yes I have -

Listing has been added to this member’s forum profile per the posting guidelines

Not somewhere I’d expect ice skating ! Is this a new venture or have you done this since childhood?

It’s a skating camp. Dorothy Hamill used to host them, now it’s mostly the same coaches minus Dorothy.

Hi Gabba, My recent London sit was great. I had rented a flat for 4 nights in Chelsea and went the night before they were leaving as I couldnt get a one night accommodation. We enjoyed cooking a lovely supper together. The beautiful house was for sale, as I am an avid gardener and clean space keeper it was my pleasure to tidy up inside and outside. It felt like we were kindred spirits, family and pet. We have continued to stay in touch. Very lovely people.
