This may have been answered somewhere else, but thought I would ask:
We are not travelling again until late 2026 and were wondering if cancelling our premium membership for a year would mean our profile and review history would be gone if we did so??
We’ve had great success with our 2 long stay sitters thus far, and fully intend to utilize the platform again for our next 3 month vacation overseas. We’d prefer not to lose our reviews or the reviews we left for our sitters, nor do we want to have to build a profile again.
Just curious - thanks to all who answer kindly.
I will answer a different question, that you didn’t ask: Are you sure you can do those sits overseas? It is not legal to housesit on a tourist visa in the Schengen area (there is a huge thread about this - just search “Border”). I of course do not know your citizenship or visa status but from what I understand (and I am not an immigration attorney), house SWAPPING is usually fine, house SITTING is not. So you might want to consider a platform that permits house swapping if your destination is a country where sitting is not permitted on a tourist visa.
I believe OP is posting as a HO
TrustedHousesitters will remove your reviews if your paid membership expires and stays expired for more than two years (under GDPR/data‑protection rules).
During that 24‑month “grace period,” if you choose to renew, all your profile info and reviews are restored. After two years, however, that data is permanently deleted.
Sad bad true…

Thanks, I should have clarified - we are homeowners, not sitters.
Thank you, that answers my question perfectly!
