Is there any possibility whereby us sitters can advertise where we are looking to sit, and for how long instead of waiting and hoping something comes up?

I believe we can identify preferred locations in our profile. Thing is, could you imagine how many sitters would be identified if a HO searched for Spain? Maybe if sitters identified locations and specific dates, then a HO could search by those parameters and come up with a reasonable list.

Basically you apply as and when a sit comes ‘live’ as a listing.
What you can do though :
- Create searches by location/date.
- Create a brilliant profile- mention any connections to specific locations….
- Favourite any listings in a location you like that currently don’t have a ‘live’ listing.
- Ensure you take into account time zones ahd when listings are more likely to be posted eg my preferred location is Perth Australia 8 hours ahead of me in England, the listings tend to appear when I’m asleep
and are filled very quickly.
I agree with @BonnyinBrighton especially regarding time zone—#4!
