So I think the title is pretty self-explanatory.
I completed a sit and completed my review of the HO. She messaged me this morning that she had done mine now. My heart dropped when I looked and it was overall ZERO stars. But the individual categories were all 5 stars and the written component was all glowing.
The HO verified that she had given me an overall 5 star rating and she is on standby to follow up with support if necessary.
I thought hmmmm. Now I had been looking at the review via the app and sure enough it shows as overall 5 stars when looking at the same review on the website.
So this isn’t even the case where people are giving ‘X’ number of stars but something else shows. This is an inconsistency between the app and web.
Good grief.
Thanks for bringing this up, @MaggieUU . Do you know if the host used to app or the browser when writing her review?
While it may just be a display issue, a number of people have experienced issues writing reviews within the app as well.
The HO advises that she did the review on the app. She sent screenshots of how the review displays on her end. I am querying if this is displaying ZERO stars only on my dashboard. Not an excuse though.
Are there 4 separate non-communicating tech teams?
1-IOS website
2-IOS app
3-Android website
4-Android app
Hi @MaggieUU I was sorry to hear this. I will send this info to our team to look into this for you, and you can look out for an email from Membership Services soon.
So another member has confirmed that the review shows as overall ZERO stars on the app, 5 stars on the website
I will followup with support. Wish me luck with applications until this is corrected. HOs using the app will see this zero star review first. Very upsetting!
Moderators be aware that I will definitely engage you for assistance if I don’t get prompt resolution.
Oh, and a few months free membership wouldn’t go amiss. I have been pretty traumatized by this.
Thanks @Therese.
Our messages must have crossed paths.
I really hope it gets fixed asap as I am very hesitant to apply for sits with this showing.
Well it is now after usual business hours on a Friday in the UK and I haven’t heard anything back from member support.
I suggest members check their reviews on the app and website to verify consistency.
Mention the discrepancy in any applications up front. I only ever use the app. The only way I know about this happening is because of the forum so 90% of members probably don’t know.
Update:
I received an email this morning that this has been passed over to the tech team.
UPDATE:
I received another email this morning from member support ( so 6 days since I initially reported). The error has been corrected so that I am now showing a 5 star review on both the app and website. I was credited with one free month of membership. I applied for one sit during the time that the error was present and I did not get it. We’ll never know if this was a contributing reason.
I was also congratulated on my 27 five star reviews (I have 38).
So case closed but lesson learned: double check everything.
