Here’s me all sorted prior to a week long cat/garden sit.
Small wheeled case (clothes etc)
Canvas bag (food kitchen stuff etc)
Small back pack (devices cables etc)
The canvas bag will be used for washing etc, the back pack for shopping etc
This is me on a solo sit, hubby is staying home for this one.
Yipee, enjoy ![]()
We’re currently in a battle over the Sunday papers though…..![]()
Take the supplements & leave him the paper would be my tactic. They’re better with Sunday evening wine
#sundaysupps
Haha I got the lot!
Very good! A sit without the burden of your husband. That’s how my wife likes to travel.
@BonnyinBrighton, looks great.
Currently as full-time then we each periodically complete solo housesits - indeed solo housesit next week in bonnie (and currently football-excited!) Scotland
.
It’s given us an appreciation that some solo time seems valuable for duo full-time sitters. But also that housesitting seems to involve more effort for solo housesitters - as same housesit tasks completed by one person rather than two.
Hope that you both enjoy the forthcoming housesit ![]()
Yes you’re right it feels very different doing this solo than as a couple, as hubby usually takes responsibility for the home and I just focus on the pets. This time I’ve had to work out the TV remote control myself to watch the football
also all the door keys, and various light switches in unexpected places
hubby stayed home due to having some golf competition this week plus our Allotment needs regular watering at the moment.
Funny - good luck
. Motivation can be a wonderful thing ![]()
We’d guess that over half of our housesits have been for pet parents where only one of them knows how to work the TV/media remote control(s) ![]()
Our division of duties sound like yours but I did rescue the robotic lawnmower this morning and set her on her way again ![]()
