We have a sitter booked who is due to visit on Friday but they are not responding to communications through THS or via their Whats App. With just 4 days left before they are supposed to arrive we seem unable to contact them. I am concerned that they may have a problem and/or just not turn up. At this late stage I will have trouble finding alternative sitters and our vacation is now at risk of having to be cancelled along with forfeiting the hotels, accommodation etc. Is this a situation where I should be contacting THS by telephone as an urgent call? ---

Call the sitters and leave a voice mail if they don’t answer. If 24 hours go by without a response call THS and discuss with them. How do their reviews look? Is this their first sit? ---

I would call THS urgently, to see whether they can raise the sitter. If not, you’ll need to come up with a Plan B. Contact info is on all of our dashboards. When you say, “due to visit”, do you mean the actual sit or just a meet’n greet type thing? Also, how long have you been trying to reach them? They could be camping and have no reception? Aside from WhatsApp texts, try video calling them too. If you’ve been successfully communicating with them until now, it’s probably nothing, but as stated by others, start looking into your Plan B. ---

I would definitely be contacting THS to see if they can make a contact. At the same time, I would also be looking at backup plans. Get creative now or rather than at the absolute last second. Have a solution just in case, so you can still go on your vacation and enjoy yourself. ---

@AndyAysegul Can you see whether they have read your messages on both WhatsApp and in the inbox? If they show Read and they have not responded, I would be concerned. Are they international sitters and could be in the air? ---

Thank you everyone for your advice and input. We finally managed to contact them and they have confirmed that all is ok and that the are going to be with us on the agreed dates.
