Hello, I’m new to THS but we have just said yes to look after a place in Melbourne. Now I wanted to check before we book our flights that it’s not mandatory for them to put it as confirmed. On my profile it says nothing confirmed.
Do I have to confirm something, if yes how?
Thank you🙏

Hi, and welcome.
The homeowner has to click a button to offer you this sit, and then you click a button to accept the sit. At that point it’s confirmed.
Nothing is definite until both of you have completed that. A verbal/message offer means nothing.

If they happen to be new to THS too, then they may not realise they need to hit the button to accept you, so prompt them to do so Could you click the accept/confirm button" followed by something friendly.
Don’t book your flights until they do that.

Welcome to THS and to the forum @Marianne
You must click “accept” - then it will show as confirmed .
If you’ve not got this option , can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing ?

Just saying yes doesn’t make it official, if indeed you were offered the sit, you must click “accept”. Then they have to confirm your acceptance.

@Marianne, welcome to THS Forum and likely to THS.
- PP lists housesit
- HS (up to 5 at a time) apply to PP listing
- Optional (but we’d recommend): PP has 1-1 video calls with one or more shortlisted HS
- PP offers sit to one HS (press button on THS platform)
- HS accepts sit (press button on THS platform)
- Sit appears as “Confirmed” on dashboards of PP and HS
