I’ve just spotted a new section on my listing saying ‘Sit essentials’, it’s blank because I’ve never seen it before. I’m baffled as to what should be in there that’s not already in my listing. A hunt round this forum, seems to indicate this to be arrival and departure times. I’m wanting to post 3 sits shortly, each of which will have different times. So I can’t see how (or why) I can post that on my listing, as the time will depend on which sit a sitter is applying for. I’ve then tried to Edit my listing to see if there’s any further information on what to include. The ‘sit essentials’ isnt a category on there so I can’t edit it! If there’s anyone much wiser than me on this forum who can explain what I’m supposed to and how, I’d be really interested in their comments.
You may try editing in the App vs Website and/or removing and reloading the app. It doesn’t sound like you’re getting the full menu of options where you’d select or edit whatever it is you’re meant to edit. .
It’s utterly daft is what it is!! The only thing in “sit essentials” - which my brain would think was things like being a warm coat, walking shoes, driving licence, sense of humour. All that good stuff. But no, it’s for adding the arrival and departure times of the sit - not essential at all at the stage of application. Plus everyone keeps choosing “to be agreed later” anyway so a pointless add on (again). #baffling
I can’t help with the technical parts, but I recently applied for a sit where she had 3 different periods of time where she would be gone. Unlike most - who indeed put “to be agreed later” - she knew her times for each sit and listed them all.
I can’t see where that is……..maybe it’s only there when I post the dates, not on the listing….which is where the blank section appears! It’s not a very logical site this imho
I think when you post the dates, you will be prompted to give the info that is at sit essentials. I hope you figure it out - sounds like a nightmare to be a host right now, trying to navigate all the changes.
As a sitter, I’ve seen it but not used it at all as there never seems to be any useful information in it, other than something along the lines of ‘to be arranged’.
