Also need to mention the rearranging of kitchen, I think that would bother many HOs
@Maggie8K thanks. Will try that later but when I’ve tried to do it in the past it either wants to copy just one word or the whole thing. This is on my phone. I’ve got a (personal) laptop but don’t use it when I’m just idly scrolling through stuff.
@Travelerthiswld I’m a sitter and wouldn’t dream of rearranging someone’s cupboards or drawers. Worktops maybe but only for a longer sit which I don’t actually do.
Whether phone or tablet, it works the same way: Put a finger on one word and start dragging your finger across to highlight more words.
If it highlights a bunch of words you don’t want, just pick up your finger and tap somewhere else on the screen. That will cancel whatever was highlighted and you start over.
@Maggie8K miraculously it appears to be working now although I can’t see that I was doing anything different from before

WHEEE. I didn’t even know that was there. I was clicking “reply”, then the plus sign in the box that says “quote whole post”, and deleting what I didn’t want.

I’ve had that happening periodically, using Safari on my iPhone. It either wants to select a single word or the entire paragraph…nothing in between. Seemed to get better & start working correctly again once I’d closed out a bunch of open tabs, suggesting it may be a memory thing in the browser — but that’s just a WAG on my part. I’ve had various issues with formatting on the Forum website at different times…seems to come & go.
As for doing replies — sometimes it seems to reference the post I replied to, other times not…and lately, almost never. Annoying, as it makes reading the thread comments / replies a pita.
All good advice, everyone. I did write a review, though it took me some time and edits to be clear and not malicious. I said the positives about the dogs being well cared for and just listed the 2 more dramatic issues - the washing machine gasket and taking my house key with her and not returning it when she said she would. I have a sit posted for Fall but am forgoing this particular “sit-uation” for the dogs/house.
