As the owner of an elderly, distinguished gentleman void (as seen above doing his best Vampire impression to get me to stop vacuuming!), I always get a little nervous around Halloween. I tend to keep an eye on Walter’s movements and if it looks like there’s trick or treaters (called [guisers](https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/19655339.halloween-guising-scotland-meaning-different-trick-treating/) in my part of the world!), I’ll keep him inside until the fun dies down. It’s always fun to get into the spooky spirit, but it’s also a time when do we need to be extra careful with our pets. From chocolate hazards to loud noises and strangers in costumes, Halloween can be stressful for our furry friends. **Whether you’re a pet owner or a pet sitter, I’d love to hear your tips on how to keep pets safe, calm, and happy during this holiday! That’s a good one @anon9376833 - I’d love my Walter to look cute in a bow tie but I know he wouldn’t like it. As you can see from his photo he makes a fine vampire with no costume needed! ---
