Two Hosts Sharing an Account

My wife and I want to share a host account so that we can track and both communicate with house sitters. The site currently requires inputting a code that’s sent to my wife’s email when logging in.

  1. Is there a way to have that email code sent to both of us?

  2. Is there another way to link two email addresses so that both of us have access to our posted sits and can reply to sitters, enter sits, and update listings?

Thanks in advance!

Brett

@gyrobrett This is something you will need to contact Membership Services on support@trustedhousesitters.com as they are the ones who would be able to help you. They do not monitor the forum or offer direct help through it.

It’s a single email @gyrobrett so you can set up auto log in with a saved password on the app on both phones is one solution. If both hosts want to be on comms during the sits (would recommend only one of you manages the selection and call process before the sit or it will become confusing), then setting up a what’s app group is a much easier option for you all as you can see who’s saying what instantly and share photos and updates easily. Less clunky than the platform and faster. #whatsappwonder

My hubby & I are sitters who share an account. We never use the main website- we use the App exclusively. We both use the same email address (mine) & password to log in. We are permanently logged in. This way We both have access to our account at all times and both can read & reply to hosts etc. Maybe its different with the main site? I suggest try using the App.

I dont know the answer to your question, but if you are unable to add a 2nd email address to your account, most email platforms allow you to create a “rule” which will forward emails from a specific sender to a specified email address.

I went through this because I was helping someone in addition to my listing. You need one email address it doesn’t have to be the ones you have now and you both share the password and any emails can be read by both of you. You have to request a change in email from customer service. Good luck1

@gyrobrett, this is a very sensible question. When THS introduced 2FA (badly, as email centric rather than password application) then we were in your situation. Ugh.

Only pragmatic tactic that we could devise of was to create a new email address, dedicate it to THS usage and create an auto-forward rule to other person. Specifically, as Apple iCloud users, we created an alias email address.
