I saw one recently with only photos of pets. So I reported and chose something else and said “only pet photos”. There were two dates listed and I think no applications so I thought that nudge from THS might help them in the long run.

I’ve just reported one under ‘fake or misleading’. I don’t think it was fake but it was definitely misleading as 5 dogs were listed, varying ages and different breeds, but in the photos and description of needs 2 of them were the same age, same breed and had the same name!! I explained this in the comments box which appears just before you submit it.

I reported a listing with a lodger
The listing is still active days later .
We need a category “third party”
Or “breaks terms of service “
So that the listings reported can be prioritised by ‘MS’ for immediate action

I used the report button 9 days ago to report 3 listings - 2 which had no photos at all and one with no internal photos. Tonight I checked up on them as I spotted another “no photos at all” listing and wondered would I bother to report it. The answer was no.
Of those 3 reported, the one with no internal photos was reviewing (they have had multiple sitters) and the other two with no photos were still listed.
As we are doing the vetting for them it would be nice to have our efforts recognised and get some feedback.
Well it would be even better if those reported were actually acted upon. Sheesh no photos??? And people take chances with this!
Right? I wish sitters would stop applying for sits that don’t fulfill the required info for listings; insufficient photos, for example, but also when there’s a third party in the home. If people would report instead of applying maybe the HO’s would finally follow the rules when they realize they aren’t ‘t getting any interest…
Just today I saw a sit which looked appealing until I thoroughly read the reviews from previous sitters - all 5 star reviews - one however said the hosts sons home stays at the home overnight which they said they were ok with .

Unbelievable. As long as HO’s get away with breaking the rules bc sitters oblige them, it won’t change. So bizarre to me that sitters are ok with those arrangements.
Well @temba how many of those do you reckon might end up here complaining. I can’t see that anything would be that great to take on a sit with no photos.

I applied for one just now, and it has only 4 photos, all of the 2 dogs, none of the house!1
I thought bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were minimum requirement?
The home owner, a newbie, assures me she uploaded 20 photos, the maximum, she said. I told her this is not the maximum, as I have seen one with 34 photos.
I suggested that maybe she needs to label the other 16 with room name/description before they will be added to the listing. Will keep you all informed, as it is for my fave breed of dog, and I do want to do the sit. Just 2 hours drive from my home city.
I am sure it will work out.

I hope if you get that sit @RedLassie it turns out well. Looks like you may have renewed your membership after all.
I was so close to leaving but an agreement was reached with membership services. But not before I arranged a string of private sits, meaning my next THS sit is late October.
@RedLassie good to hear THS looked after you in the end, I suspect some of your sits might go unfulfilled if you didn’t do them as you sit so much. Pleased for the outcome for you.
Update. ALL 24 photos now showing on that listing. They must have added descriptions to photos to get them accepted. Now I just need them to choose ME, after all my help.
