What real cuties @august
About a week with 3 cats and 3 turtles (my first turtles) on a lake in Reston, Virginia.
The cats are 11 yo litter siblings, very food motivated and hunter/gatherers in the kitchen - everything has to be put away as soon as it is used! Jaima, Shambo, and Kiwi
Wow, your pictures are amazing!
Funny how life unfolds: Today, I arrived for a sit at a classic home a few doors down from the first home that my husband and I owned, in the 1990s.
We used to admire from outside what now turns out to be my sit house. We wondered what the inside looked like. Turns out it’s even more charming than I’d imagined.
My hosts are leaving tomorrow morning and I’m glad we’re overlapping — they’re personable, gracious folks. I also got to meet the lovely friends they’re traveling with, who are staying overnight as well. And I already find my sit dog lovable.
I get to hang out with him in a gorgeous home, in a neighborhood I still love, near loads of amenities. … Yet another sit in the making that makes me appreciate THS.
That’s amazing @Maggie8K and your new friend is adorable!
Funny first for me on a sit:
I gave the dog this log toy with treats plugged into it. Doggo was extracting the treats and rolling it around. Ended up dropping one of the treats into a heating / cooling register vent in the floor.
I discovered this, because doggo started barking and pawing at the register. So I had to find a screwdriver in the utility room, unscrew the register cover, retrieve his treat and screw the cover back on. Meanwhile, he was barking and whining mournfully the whole time for his lost treat.
It started raining and then there was a sudden loud clap of thunder. That sent my sit dog running to me. He then hopped on my lap and we cuddled for more than an hour. He isn’t normally a cuddly dog. Glad I could comfort him.
Tried to take him on a walk well after the thunder had stopped, but he refused to go. His humans said he’d let me know if he didn’t want to walk, so I guess he has.
Aww, how handsome is he
Week long sit with CJ and Maisy, a pair of 5 yo brindle boxers in a suburb of Albuquerque. 5 chickens too. The dogs are not good on walks so we spend time in the yard.

I am in central Michigan with two King Charles. They are very sweet. The hosts are incredibly generous. Bought me a lot of fruit and seltzer and left quite a bit of money. I thought it was for vet emergencies, but just for me.
We just arrived to care for this mother/daughter cutie combo. This is our final sit in London for a while. Next week we are heading down to the southwest of England for a couple of months.
@Colin - mom is the black and tan? Cuties! Is she blind in 1 eye?
I love Dachshunds, is one on right called Bowie perchance?
Arrived yesterday, straight from another sit, to my 2nd of 3 back to back sits, with this lovely Dalmatian. My first sit for this breed.
Hi @toml , The all tan one on the left is the mum, and no, the other one is not blind in one eye, she just has different coloured eyes!
