In central Perth Australia we picked up 2 extra Xmas/NYE/January sits whilst we were there seeing our son. We already had one sit confirmed beforehand, so that made 3 sits in a 6 week period, using our son’s house as our Base, and yes they were wanting local sitters who they could meet up with beforehand.
Yes. I had a last minute sit post pending. Thankfully I got a sitter last night and it seems like he be excellent.
So it’s all worked out.
But everyone knows what you mean if you say “Christmas” or “Christmas and New Year”.
Sounds like a good strategy for HOs. How does a sitter make contact without an invite? Only if there has been previous private messaging would this be possible. Unless you are referring to another platform, not THS.
If you ‘favourite’ the listing, the HO is notified. Then they can make contact.
