Arrival date for sits

Shouldn’t that be a hard and fast rule? Dates posted are the dates they expect you to arrive and leave. It would be nice if they posted times also. Like I am leaving one and going to another on the same day, but in the same area. But they are dogs and starting one wants me early and the other wants me to leave late. Luckily my daughter will be with me for a few days during the overlap and can cover.

Of course, that’s great if you host the sitters before your departure but the true arrival date should be listed as the start date.
You may be missing some great sitters because your listings do not accurately reflect your expectations.

You “don’t actually sit” but are required to be there and that should be reflected in the dates. It actually requires more energy and effort to cohabitate with the host/s than to be on one’s own.

Valid point. One for which THS should be able to account on the site.

It would help a lot of new people if THS provided some sample listings that show the best practices. I learned so many dos and don’ts from this forum that would’ve been super helpful to know when writing my listing in the beginning.
