Australia advice please

Avoid northern Australia in summer, particularly cyclone season Feb-April. The heat and humidity is awful unless you are used to that. Basically, you want to be in Queensland, Northern Territory, northern NSW and northern WA in winter but so does everyone else in Australia. If you are ok with the cold you will be spoiled for choice for sits in Victoria, Tassie, NSW, SA & WA in our winter school holidays (June/July) as the southerners head north to thaw out!

Many thanks for all these helpful replies. We have decided to brave December and January as there are so many more housesits available and will be sticking to the Sydney and Melbourne areas. We will definitely join Aussie Housesitters too!
