Thanks Jenny didn’t know how to edit that extra info..
It was any colour, any veggie, peppers just happened to be the favourite. The only veggie-eating cat I have ever come across!
Take them to the vet immediately ! They are impostor Labradors for sure!
With relentless sit pets, I put all food away, including in the oven and microwave as needed.
I sat a pair of crafty cats that would easily break into cabinets, including child-proofed ones. I used the oven, microwave and such to store food. Plus, after they’d knocked over a cat food canister onto the floor to break in, I put the canisters into the washing machine, because their food was stored in the laundry/utility room.
They loved to sleep with me, but boycotted me the night I put their food canisters unreachably into washing machine. ![]()
Food laundering is a new one on me! Those cats just weren’t smart enough! I love to read about how sitters outwitted the greedy guts!
On my last sit the dog waited till I fell asleep then raided my trouser pockets to get the bag of treats! He also got the tennis ball and destroyed it! I felt so mad when I woke up!
So next time I hid my clothes under the bedding! (Yes we shared the room but not the bed,on this occasion)
.. game changer ! Fool me ONCE! Ha ha!
Those big soulful eyes! Well he carries it well! “What fat cat, me?”
What a lovely story! and photo! Thanks for sharing!
LOL you nailed him!
Ok so this is what I bring with me on sits if I’m coming by car.
The owner told me in advance not to leave anything out in the way of food.. that’s become a recurring theme! So I come prepared.
I have a large cool box and the handle locks it. I use plastic containers to keep things fresh and out of harm’s way. They originally had roast chickens in so no big deal if I leave them behind.
I don’t eat their food, so don’t accept a dog eating mine!
