How have you used AI to help you during a sit?

I know! Unfortunately I used the — in my actual original writing sometimes.

Oh well…this is not AI generated.

It hasn’t. Nor would it ever. Because… Well, let’s just blame it on my being old.

Yeah I am really concerned about the environmental costs of the huge data centres used to run it all. When resources are precious it seems wasteful to me to use for frivolous reasons and I feel like my usage would fall into that category. Not trying to shame those who do use it and as it is being embedded into more and more it seems quite hard to avoid anyway. Just my two cents.

I use AI a lot. My Alexa often replaces a Google search when I think of a question about anything. I do the same when sitting. “Alexa, how long will it take to drive to ABC from my house now?” “Alexa, what is the weather forecast for today” (that usually leads to me arguing with Alexa because she will tell me it is a beautiful morning to be outside and I will tell her that it is too warm for running. She will then say that I’m right and that I should stay home. I’ll tell her not to be ridiculous, that I’m still going to run, but it will be misterable!!!)

Online, I use Claude mostly because of Anthropic’s refusal to allow the US government to have unrestricted access. OpenAI (maker of ChatGPT) allowed this access. I asked it to help me find the best rental car rate for a long upcoming sit, and it was very helpful.

It seems like everything has an AI component even where you would never imagine. Shopping, Netflix, airline tickets, Google, any automatic “help” bot, etc

Everything!

I love that you argue with Alexa!

I argue with Chatgpt all the time. She always backs down
