Length of sit and cleaning

@Couple_travels_fulltime I take a similar approach, but also include houseplant care (especially a good wipe off of dust) and a little garden care if needed and not requested. But i am nervous about de-greasing a cooker after I did this for my sister as a “thank you” on a stay - she had a melt down as she claimed to be “emotionally attached” to the grime. She is weird, but I hear her when I clean at a sit.
I see my cleaning etc as a gift to the HO, something welcoming for them to come home to, although i suspect it’s not actually noticed.

We do the same amount of cleaning no matter how long the petsit is. When we were new, it was fun to get even short sits accepted. Too much work to clean the whole house so now we look for at least a week if we are just passing through the town and 2+ weeks if we want to do some sightseeing. My kids all have the same chores whether we petsit or stay in an Airbnb so that helps keep things clean. Our problem happens if we walk into a new sit and it’s not as clean as we are used to.

Yes, the annoying part when it isn’t as clean as we are used to. Not filthy, but they didn’t bother to clean the tub etc.

Ihre Betrachtungsweise, @DianeS, die Reinigung als Willkommensgeschenk zu sehen, gefällt mir sehr gut.

Well that’s a good approach. Professional
