Although some of them take their time in doing so
Anyone still a member that can offer a code?
I donāt think this is necessarily the owner deciding with lighting speed - I think itās a matter of 5 people applying thus the sit going to reviewing status before we wake up in Europe. Many sitters have mentioned that since the rule was introduced last year, it has become extremely difficult to apply for sits in other time zones.
ā¦each their own. I strongly dislike the rule, cause have not noticed HOs making a decision any faster than before. But I have to rush in much faster than before (and be online all the time)
Which site do you want a code for?
Aussiehousitters
hI @tlubkin , @Smiley should still be able to help you out.
I have tagged her here so I am sure she will contact you soon
Thanks @Colin just seen this and received a message, so all done
I agree with this. I have some favourites that I have sat for and I suspect they are inviting someone more local after agreeing the sit via Whatsapp. They have done the same with me when they think I may be willing to travel.
We have now found out that the notification of favourites is not earlier than the notifications for saved searches. See this thread where we are testing the system: Setting up an alert via the app - #37 by Shannon
Sorry @Colin for the late reply - I havenāt been on here for a while! Weāve just done 6 weeks in the south of England and enjoyed their warmer than Swedish temperatures! The police report we had to get for us both was simply a criminal history report (if you have one or not). Cheers
Wow, so thereās no advantage really to āfavouritingā a listing, since it wonāt show up any earlier as an Alert than it would when showing via the regular Saved Search notification?
That is what I saw on one test. It would be useful with some more tries, with more participants. Ideally, the exact time of the test would be announced in advance.
I am popping in again just to say thanks to all the responses on my post. I am currently in the Melbourne area with TH, and next will be around Adelaide, then on to New Zealand! So I found sits, even through time-difference posting! It is possible! (I still think my suggestion of a 24-hour window would be good though. ) All the best for a great 2024!
