About us! We love traveling, but we also love being at home. Therefore, we have opted for the homeowner and sitter membership! We like exploring the various historic sites nearby, and enjoying the spectacular scenery. We also enjoy the opportunity to try the local foods and wines in spectacular Tuscany! The pasta! The pastries! All fantastically authentic! Within a half hour drive, there are over a dozen wineries of varying sizes! (Including the one that is walking distance from here!) We are in a brilliant position to visit Rome, Pisa, Siena, Assisi, Florence, Saturnia and more. All of these beautiful, historic places are under 2.5 hours from here! All this makes for some excellent photographic opportunities - another thing we love! We are definitely amateurs where it comes to photography, but we love it and it has taught us to “see” the world differently. We pay more attention to the little things more than we did, and that is important. In Tuscany, it’s fun to hike around the many trails through the countryside, and to people-watch in our little town! Our friends and neighbors are wonderful! They have been accepting and helpful as we stumble along trying to find our feet in our new country. We never take a single day for granted, because we feel we’re beyond lucky to be able to live here!
