I am a full-time sitter in 2024 - 5 years since I started in Jan 2020 with HS Canada.

Covid lockdowns then made finding ANY sit challenging! In May+June 2020 I lived outside in my Dodge van while renting my whole house to a family isolating. I drove an hour away for a local sit, which turned into a 10 month stay while Owners sold their home remotely.

I found THS good to browse international sits, planning my next steps. Searched free for a year. Finally paid up in April 2022 when I got serious about Italy. I have had dreams to see the historical Architecture of Rome and Florence for 20 years.

Post-Covid restrictions removed, its like a Yukon Gold Rush with travel worldwide exploding. I booked my first THS sit a block away from my house - what luck!

I usually visit Owners in person, confirming soon after. Doing this helped me book local sits, nearly back to back for 2022. I sleep in my van during gaps in good westher. I consider myself a Full-Time Sitter. My winter 2023 and a repeat sit for next summer 2023 already committed. Winter 2024 months long too. It gets easier with experience.

Looking for my first International sits in the UK first, then later Rome and Florence for Mar-Oct 2024 to fulfill my Italian travel dreams.
