I spent 20 years retraining standard poodles who were retired from showing to be therapy dogs. Also enjoy fostering dogs and cats, animal rescue, and supporting groups like Helping Homeless Felines and City Wildlife (both in the DC region). Professionally I’m the founding director of a scholarly publishing office for faculty at Georgetown University, and I advise scholars worldwide. I have two cats, one gray DSH tripod from a high-risk rescue that I adopted in 2011, and a foster Siamese who came to us from the streets of Cairo, Egypt, when she was brought back by a rescue group. World traveler who has been to 35 countries.
