For us, housesitting was a left-field experiment. We had never heard of it until early 2023. Since shortly thereafter, with an experiential objective, we’ve been full-time housesitting. As of Autumn 2025, we’ve completed approximately 50 housesits across numerous countries in Schengen area; multiple provinces/states in Canada and US; Switzerland and UK.

We try to find ‘feature’ housesits in geographically interesting places for minimum one month duration - most of which involve international flights. We fill any gaps with shorter duration, local-to-location housesits and paid accommodation.

We have met some mostly wonderful pet parents; cared for mostly enjoyable pets; and mostly had a very positive experience.
