Hola! My husband and I are Canadians who have been living in Guatemala for the past eleven years. We are the Co-Founders of the Project Somos Children’s Village (www.projectsomos.org) located in the Central Highlands of this beautiful country. We have four rescue dogs; Janga, Bindi, Olee and Frida. Since arriving here, we have rescued and found homes for 25 dogs. Our love of children and our desire to make the world a better place is what brought us here all those years ago. We took a bare piece of land and turned it into a vibrant learning village for local Mayan Indigenous children. The Project is built using sustainable practices. We have a beautiful organic farm which we use to produce food for the children in our Farm to Table programming. We also love cooking and eating delicious food. I am a photographer and LOVE making beautiful portraits of our dogs and the kids. We really enjoy travelling and plan on stepping away from the Project more as the local staff take over management of it and we work remotely.

We are looking at booking our first sitting stay in Seattle and Minneapolis in May/June 2022.
