I am a 75y.o. veteran and live with my wife in Melbourne Australia. We are both dual British/Australian nationals and I am also an Irish citizen. I previously worked as a Social Worker and Mental Health Clinician in Australia and the UK. My wife and I will shortly celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary and we have no children and currently no pets, although we have had numerous dogs and cats through the years. This has allowed my wife and I (since we retired in the naughties) to spend about half our time overseas in Europe and the Northern Americas.

When not travelling I play Bridge, teach retired and soon to be retired people strategies and techniques of Slow Travel and renew relationships with our relatives and friends. My wife rescues our garden every year and we have become quite good at preparing it for our long absences. During our 6-months or so sojourns overseas, we try to limit time spent in big Cities (although we enjoy it when we do!) as we prefer smaller communities.
